Symbol of this town, the tower is the only medieval remain of this ancient city.
In a manuscript preserved in the parish and entitled "Audience" i.e. inventory of the Parish Church, it says that the current track of the tower was called Via San Giovanni and that the Tower ".... served as the bell tower and in the lower part, also from the sacristy to the same Church", it can therefore be assumed that the current tower is what remains of the ancient parish church of San Giovanni. For Numana The Tower has great archaeological importance since, in fact, the only remnant of medieval origins of this ancient city. The ruins, which has lost its physiognomy of tower, currently presents itself as a structure similar to that of an arc.
