The tax is paid by non-residents in the Municipality of Numana for each overnight stay in the accommodation facilities located in the municipal territory, up to a maximum of 15 consecutive nights for the period from 1 April to 30 September of each year. Tourists who stay overnight in the accommodation facilities pay the tax to the manager of the facility, who issues a receipt for the collected amounts.

The following are exempt from paying tourist tax:
a) minors up to the age of 3 years;
b) non-self-sufficient disabled persons, with appropriate medical certification, and their carer;
c) personnel belonging to state, provincial or local armed forces or corps, as well as to the national fire brigade and civil protection corps who are staying for service requirements;
d) coach drivers and tour leaders providing assistance to groups organised by travel and tourism agencies;
e) staff employed by the manager of the accommodation facility who work there;
f) persons staying in accommodation facilities following measures adopted by the Public Authority to deal with emergency situations resulting from calamitous or extraordinary events and for humanitarian relief purposes;
For the cases referred to in points b), c) and d) above, the application of the exemption is subject to the delivery of appropriate certification or self-certification.
In the Marches region, the 112 Single Number is available for all emergencies and is responsible for forwarding calls to the relevant authorities.

Unlike many towns on the central Adriatic Riviera, Numana is not crossed by the railway or by fast roads, although it remains well connected.
This peculiarity makes Numana an oasis of peace and tranquillity, far from the smog and isolated from the annoying noise of the railway traffic.
From the tourist harbour in Numana bassa there is a nice apartment promenade which stretches towards Marcelli di Numana for about 4 km, where you can go for a nice jog, a relaxing walk or stop for an aperitif or to eat at one of the many kiosks and restaurants along the coast.

Yes, so much so that every year since 2015 we have received the important "Green Flag" awarded to child-friendly beaches. In Numana and Marcelli the beaches are all of fine gravel, wider and better ventilated in Marcelli and Numana Bassa, and more intimate and sheltered in Numana Alta. In the beaches of Numana Alta the sea is always calm thanks to the particular conformation of the inlet and the presence of rocky barriers.
The "Due Sorelle" beach can be easily reached from Numana's tourist harbour, thanks to the daily ferry service, by taking part in an organised excursion or by hiring a private boat.
In Numana you will find many different beaches:beach resorts are almost always adjacent to free beaches dedicated to those who wish to have the possibility to experience the sea according to their own needs.

The Frate beach is, together with the "Spiaggiola", one of the two beaches in Numana Alta. It can only be reached on foot with these three options:
- from Piazza Nuova in Numana, behind the church of the Sanctuary, there is a path going down directly to the beach in about 5 minutes;
- crossing the tourist port of Numana and then the "Spiaggiola", heading north;
- in summer you can take the free shuttle bus which leaves every 20 minutes from Numana's IAT office and from Piazza del Santuario to the "Spiaggiola" and then continue on foot for about 5 minutes.
"Spiaggiola" is, together with the "Spiaggia del Frate", one of the two beaches in Numana Alta. It can be reached on foot or by free shuttle bus following these directions:
- On the right side of Piazza Nuova in Numana, behind the church of the Sanctuary, there is a path which goes down directly to the beach in about 5 minutes
- crossing the tourist port of Numana in a northward direction
- in summer you can take the free shuttle bus that leaves every 20 minutes from Numana's IAT office and from Piazza del Santuario and arrives directly at the square in front of the "Spiaggiola"

There are several public bus stops in the Numana area that will take you to other towns along the Conero Riviera: you can leave your car and reach Sirolo, Loreto, Porto Recanati, the Camerano Caves, Castelfidardo and Osimo with the RENI bus line (see timetable). We also organise bus trips to the Frasassi Caves and guided tours in the towns of the Conero Riviera and the Colli dell'Infinito, contact our tourist information offices for details!
It is easy to move around Numana, but during the summer period we make some changes to the road network to facilitate public transport and some events.
Yes, in the evenings of July and August you can reach the small square of Numana or the main street of Marcelli from wherever you're staying easily! Look at the timetable and plan your evening!
We have 4 lines of shuttles, which will allow you to park your car and enjoy your holiday. Look at the timetables and choose the perfect shuttle for you!
In Numana we promote sustainable mobility: for this reason we have organised various types of parking spaces and a series of free shuttles, so you can park your car and simply enjoy your holiday from dawn to dusk without traffic and without stress.
There are car parks with reduced rates of euro 2.00, 4.00 and euro 5.00 for the whole day, while on the seafront the hourly rate is euro 1.60. A rate has been established for campers and caravans in Piazzale Adriatico and it costs 6,00 € per day. Paid car park times in Numana are from 9:00am to 8:00pm (free of charge afterwards with the exception of the historical centre parking lots which have a fee of 0,50 cents per hour until midnight) from mid-June to mid-September.you can park for free at the parking lot on Via Montalbano and also at the maxi parking lot of the tourist port.
