The Green Flag

Our child-friendly beaches

Numana has been awarded the Green Flag since 2015 for its child-friendly beaches, an important acknowledgement based on the environmental suitability of holiday resorts for families with children and which places us, to all intents and purposes, in the first "paediatric map" of the sea suitable for "under 18s".

The recipe is simple: crystal-clear, shallow water close to the shore, lifeguards for safety, children's games, ample space for recreational activities, and nearby ice-cream parlours, pizzerias and restaurants that can meet the various needs of both children and the modern family.

The green flag is awarded by a sample of paediatricians living in seaside areas based on an original idea by paediatrician Italo Farnetani.
