The world home of the accordion
Castelfidardo
Castelfidardo is a town in the hills of the Riviera del Conero, renowned all over the world for the handcrafted production of the accordion to which the interesting International Museum of the Accordion is dedicated. There are about three hundred and fifty pieces on display, including some curious finds such as the first score of "Adios Nonino" by Astor Piazzolla and instruments that belonged to celebrities. In 1860 the historical battle of Castelfidardo took place, a fundamental stage in the history of the Italian Risorgimento and remembered by a monument that from the top of a hill dominates a park.
