"Rosso Conero" wine

“Rosso Conero” is a “DOC” wine produced in the Ancona province, precisely in the wonderful, fertile and sunny fields in the mountainsides.

Organoleptic features

Colour: “Rosso Conero Wine” can be defined strong, ruby red, impenetrable with purplish gradations as it is high in anthocyanins which pigment the grape peel.
Fragrance: its typical fruit smells remind to the odour of wild cherries, prunes and soft fruits of which the Conero is rich in. Furthermore, “Rosso Conero” wine has liquorice smells, as well as leather and tobacco notes. Finally you can also smell different odours – such as spices or minerals - according to the ground of provenience.
Flavour: it is highly fruity, rich in gradations and characterized by a long aftertaste. Flavours of wild cherries, prunes, blackberries, soft fruits, liquorice, leather and tobacco are very common (also in the variety not refined in wood). “Rosso Conero” wine is very rich in tannins as the grapes from which it is produced are so. Finally, you can also taste black cherries, dried figs, some gradations of black pepper and spices or even mineral and salty notes. Different flavours depend on where grapes come from, how fields are far from the coast and on the possible add of other types of grape (in addition to Montepulciano which makes the “Rosso Conero” typical).
