The fountain is located today on the left in via Morelli, between the church and the parish house. It was built with old stones dating back to an age earlier than 1663, that is the year when the inscription on the left was hung. You can read that such a fountain was asked by citizens in favour of pilgrims.
On the left of the fountain you find another headstone which was put there when the new Sanctuary was built. In the centre you can see the old municipal coat of arm made up of stone.
The fountain is composed by five mouths which receive water from an old roman tunnel which was open again until the zone of “Capodacqua” in Sirolo. On the left mouth an inscription says “terme exaurit” (it dried out) but there is no time reference of the event.
