The bishop’s palace was commissioned by Card. Bufalini and built in 1773 to replace the old palace located in Sirolo. This was used by Ancona bishops as Summer house.
When the Reign of Italy was formed and ecclesiastic goods were destroyed, the palace wasn’t transferred to State but remained to Church. Later, the palace was bought by State and in 1911 State exchanged with the Municipality the property of the Palace after a modest payment. The building became the Numana town-hall but in 1928, Sirolo and Numana municipalities were unified and in 1929 the palace became a factory of accordions. The building returned to the Municipality in 1966; it was completely restored and in 1983 it became again the Numana town-hall.
